It’s easy to clean your Oka-B sandals and ballet flats, we’ve outlined the quick and simple steps in this handy guide!

All Oka-B shoes are made from non-absorbent material that makes them easy to sanitize and resistant to fading even through repeated washings.  The result is shoes that always look clean and keep your feet healthy, with minimal effort required on your part.

The best method for washing your Oka-B’s depends on the style you’re trying to clean. All ballet flats should be cleaned with alcohol and a lint-free cloth, adorned sandals can be cleaned with soap and water, and essential, unadorned sandals can even be placed in the dishwasher!

How To Wash Your Ballet Flats:

You Will Need:

  • A lint free cloth, an old T-shirt works nicely
  • Rubbing alcohol

The cloth-and-alcohol method is the best way to clean your ballet flats, for both adorned and essential (un-adorned) shoe styles. Simply pour some rubbing alcohol on a lint-free cloth and rub the outside, inside and bottom side of your ballet flats. A sanitizing wipe can also be used instead of a cloth and alcohol. How To Wash Your Adorned Sandals:

You Will Need:

  • Dishwashing soap
  • Sponge
  • Water

Our adorned sandals are best washed with soap and water. Simply add dishwasher soap to the sponge and rub the front and back of the sandal, while being gentle with the adornment pieces. Wash off your shoes with water and air dry or wipe clean.

How To Wash Your Essential Sandals:

You Will Need:

  • Dishwasher soap
  • Dishwasher

Our essential sandals are the easiest of all to clean – just toss them in the dishwasher! Because they don’t have adornments attached to their straps and feature a matte (vs. shiny) finish, they can be cleaned in the dishwasher without losing their luster.

Quickly run some tap water over the shoes to remove any larger debris before placing them in the dishwasher. Place them in the top section of the machine, add your dishwasher soap and start the washing cycle. Any cycle setting will work, as Oka-B shoes will resist even the highest temperatures.
